Impact of global change

We focus on aspects of anthropogenic impacts, climate changes and their effects on water bodies, with particular attention to remote areas (e.g. the alpine lakes). The topics cover the analysis of long-term limnological data (especially the planktonic communities, chemistry), impacts on water resources (quantity of water, hydrological balance, exploitation of hydroelectric power or water, the presence of dams along rivers and lakes biodiversity, invasion of species), water temperature increase, and palaeolinmological techniques .
